Jesse Richardson, 64, of Swords Creek, Va., died Tuesday evening in a Johnson City, Tenn., hospital after a long illness.

Born in Russell County, Va., he was a son of the late Ranzey D. and Jennie Sloan Richardson. He was a disabled veteran of World War II.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Mary Richardson and Mrs. Myrtle Whited, both of Raven, Va.; five brothers, Dailey and Clyde Richardson, both of Swords Creek, Claude Richardson of Claypool Hill, Va., Albert Richardson of Raven and Paul Richardson address unknown.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Garnett Richardson.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. at Tazewell County Funeral Home in Cedar Bluff with Rev. Carl Robinson and Rev. Kyle Brown officiating. Burial will be in Richardson Family Cemetery on Horton Ridge.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home today after 5 p.m.
