Dailey Edward Richardson 89, of the Pine Creek section of Russell County died Feb. 5 in a Richlands hospital folowing a long illness.
A lifelong resident of Rossell County, he was the son of the late Ranzy Dowell and Jenny Sloan Richardson.
He was a retired coal miner and member of UMWA lacal 1852. He was founder and Sunday school teacher of Pine Creek Holiness Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceeded in death by four brothers, Garrent , Jessie, Claude and Clyde Richardson.
Survivors: wife of 63 years Deloa Sisk Richardson; sons, Ed Richardson of Swords Creek, Fred and wife Wanda Richardson of Rosedale, Jerry Richardson of Wytheville, Rev Jim and wife Shirley Richardson of Swords Creek, Tom and wife Pam of Honaker: daughters, Mrs James (Lillian) Miller, Mrs Leonard (Zeola) Hubbard, Mrs Danny (Ellen) Dye, and Mrs Kieth (Linda) Richardson, all of Swords Creek, Mrs Cecil (Margaret) Dye of Rosedale; brothers, Albert Richardson of Raven, Paul Richardson of Georgia; sisters, Myrtle Whited and Mary Richardson both of Raven; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and special niece and family Sharon, Ronnie, Kevin, and Venessa Dye.
The funeral was conducted Feb. 8 at 1 p.m. at the Pine Creek Holiness Church with Rev Carl Robinson and Rev. G. W. Birdsong officiating.
Burial followed in Rrichardson Family Cemetery on Horton Ridge.
Singleton Funeral Sevice was in charge of arrangements.
