ANSWERS TO THE CALL OF DEATH
(From Thursday's Daily)--Mrs. Mary Dille, one of the pioneers of the county, who has lived on the old home home place for 55 years, died there last night after an illness of only a few days. Death was due chiefly to her advanced age. Mrs. Dille suffered a severe illness two months ago, but from this had practically recovered when she met with the last affliction. Her death came as a shock to numerous relatives and close friends.
Mrs. Dille was a native of Ohio, but arrived here in her youth with her parents. Her husband was Hiram Dille, who passed away about 20 years ago. She was the mother of Wesley Dille, deceased; Cornelius, of Linden, Ia.; Sylvester, of Holyoke, Colo.; Mrs. Cynthia Stoner, Albert Dille, Mrs. Martha Cobb, Mrs. Deltha Stoner and H. E. Dille, residing here. Justice C. L. Dille of this city is a stepson. The brothers and sisters of Mrs. Dille are Matt Jones, John Jones, Mrs. J. N. Finney, Mrs. Hannah Noble, and Mrs. Hattie Wasser.
Mrs. Dille lived on the homestead with Mr. and Mrs. William Stoner, who came there when H. E. Dille left on farm pursuits and entered the contracting business. She was a woman high in the esteem of her neighbors, and a friend to all.
