Mrs. Joseph (Clara) Shape

Clara Bruchhof was born August 29, 1892, in Sumner, Bremer Co.,Iowa, the daughter of Wilheim and Johanna Buckhof. She was married to Joseph Shape, March 19, 1913 in Clark, South Dakota. In 1914 they moved to Svea Township, in Barnes County, North Dakota.

She leaves her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Ole (Jean) Sherman of Oriska, Mrs. Bernarr (Phyllis) Welch of Milwaukee, Oregon, and Mrs. Herb (Maxine) Wadsworth of Downy, California, seven sons, Howard J., Orval, George, and Donald all of Sanborn, James of Vancouver, Washington, John of Portland, Oregon and William of Minneapolis, two sisters, Mrs. Freida Klotz of Sumner, Iowa, and Mrs. Wallace (Edith) DeVaney of Mesa, Arizonia, one brother, Alvin of Watertown, South Dakota, and 16 grandchildren.

Her parents, and two brothers have preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 11,1964 at the Sanborn Congregational Church with Rev. E. Mickelsen officating with burial in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Bernard Berntson, Arthur Sortland, Donald Campbell, Emmett Blake, Lynn Olson.
