Mrs. DeVaney Dies Here on Tuesday

Funeral services are pending for Mrs. Wallace Everett (Edith Agusta) DeVaney, 70, who died suddenly in front of the Mountain States Telephone office Tuesday afternoon. She had driven to Flagstaff with her husband from their home in Camp Verde to visit her daughter, Mrs. Bob Ardrey, who is employed with the telephone company.

Born in Barnes County, Iowa, Dec 27, 1893, she came to Arizona in 1917 from Colorado, and had lived in Flagstaff since 1918 until her husband retired and they moved to Camp Verde six years ago. She was a devoted mother and wife, and member of the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.

Friends may call at the Flagstaff Mortuary Chapel from 4 to 8 pm tomorrow.

Survivors are her husband, Wallace Everett, of Camp Verde; a daughter Mrs. Bob (Lucille) Ardrey, two sons Wallace Emmett DeVaney of Flagstaff, and Edwin D., of Winslow: 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild; a brother Alvin Bruchhof of South Dakota and a sister Mrs. Fredia Klotz of Iowa.
