Prudence Davis was one of eight children born to Samuel Cothern and Nancy Hendson. On August 10, 1859 she married William Henry Davis. Ten children were born to this union. Their infant daughter, Irene born in 1868 preceeded her in death when she died shortly after birth in 1869. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Irene. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband of 50 years, Henry Davis, her children, several sisters and brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandchildren, and friends.
