Henry Davis was the sixth of eight children born to Absolom Davis and Nancy Taylor. On August 10, 1859 he married Prudence Cothern. Ten children were born to this union. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his wife of 50 years, Prudence, and his year old baby daughter, Irene who died in 1863. He leaves to mourn his passing his children, several brothers and sisters, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, neices, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
