Betty L. Finnerty, 69, of Lansing, a former resident of Rew, Pa., and Bradford, Pa., died June 10 at her home following a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept 12, 1919, at Goodman's Corners, near Venus, Pa., a daughter of the late Lawrence and Pearle Confer Goodman. On June 27, 1945, She married Bernard L. Finnerty, who survivwes.
She was an avid golfer and bowler, belonging to several leagues in both sports.
Surviving besides her husband are a son, Kevin Finnerty of Canton, Mich.; seven grandchildren; one brother, Larry Goodman, of PawPaw, Mich.; five sisters, Evelyn Ross of Bradford, Marian Flanders of Rew, Ruby Salada of Custer City, Pa.; Geraldine Holden of Ocala, Fla.; and Dorothy Swiger of Ashtabula, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the St. Gerard Church in Lansing with the Rev. Paul Schwermer, pastor, officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
