Marian A. Flanders, 92, of 785 Summit Road, Bradford, passed away Wednesday, September 12th, 2007 at Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born July 9, 1915 in Venus she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Pearle (Confer) Goodman.

On March 2, 1932 in Bradford she married Leo Flanders who died February 22, 1971

She was employed as a bomb packer during WWII at the Eldred munitions plant. She later worked for several businesses in the Bradford area. In 1982 she retired from Corning Glass.

She bowled for many years at Byllye Lanes and Star Lanes, and was the second oldest member of the Bradford Womens Bowling Association. She was a past member of the Pine Acres Golf Course.

Surviving are two daughters: Joanne Lindy, and Patricia Gould, both of Bradford, two sons: Robert Flanders of Derrick City, and Thomas Flanders of Silver Springs FL. two sisters: Ruby Salada of Custer City, and Dorothy Swiger of Ashtabula OH, one brother: Larry Goodman of Lecanto FL., 12 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters, one brother, and one great grandson

Private services were held at 3:00pm Thursday in McKean Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Moore, Associate Pastor of the Bradford Area Parrish officiating.

Memorials if desired may be made to a charity of the donors choice.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
