Garland - Douglas K Anderson 70, of Garland, died Friday, September 6, 2002 at his residence in Garland. He was born on January 28, 1932 in Bothwell, Utah, the son of Calvin Olif and Vivian Marita Anderson.

Doug lived in the Garland all his life. He loved raising animals, fishing and collecting cowboy boots. He overcame numerous trials from a handicap left from polio when he was a young boy. He was a hard worker despite his handicaps. Doug always earned his own way. He received numerous awards from Lazy Boy. Doug also worked for U & I Sugar Factory in Garland and the Perry Cannery.

Doug was a High Priest in the Garland 4th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Doug always loved to visit and always had a positive outlook on life.

He is survived by two brothers - C. Oniel (Norma) Anderson of Ogden, and Craig Mart (Kathy) Anderson of Garland; two sisters - Voris Austin of Garland, and Vicky (Jim) Argyle of Rush Valley, UT; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother-in-law, and two nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday September 10, 2002 at the Garland LDS 4th Ward, 175 South Main.

Friends may call Monday September 9, from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton.

lnterment will be in the Bear River City Cemetery.
