He was born Jan. 26, 1899; at Bear River City, a son of Nels Anderson and Lena Marie Jensen Peterson.
He married Vivian Marita Iverson on Jan, 6, 1923; at Malad, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS temple on July 30, 1924. Mrs. Anderson died April 30, 1979.
He attended Box Elder High school, and was employed as a farmer and with the Utah and Idaho Sugar company.
A member of the LDS church, he had served as high priest of the Garland First ward, filled a Southern States mission, served as elders quorum president in Bothwell, high priest group leader and home teacher in Garland, on the old folks committee, and was a temple and genealogical worker.
He is survived by three sons and two daughters, Calvin O'Neil Anderson of Ogden; Douglas K. Anderson, Craig Mart Anderson and Mrs. Kenneth (Voris) Austin, all of Garland; Mrs. James (Vicky) Argyle of Clover; 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Also surviving are five brothers and one sisters, Roland Anderson of Salt Lake City, Roscoe and Virgil Anderson of Bothwell, Lloyd Hust of Brigham City, Wayne Nick Anderson of Tremonton, Mrs. David (Shirley) Jones of Ogden.
Funeral services were conducted in the Garland LDS chapel on Monday, Sept. 15, with Bishop Glen E. Manning officiating.
Interment was in the Bear River City cemetery.
