Mrs. Mattie Nash Dies in Calif. - Mrs. Mattie Nash, 84, died Sunday in Monterey, Calif.
She was born in Missouri [error - Arkansas] and moved to Grangeville [Cottonwood] with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Eller, when she was a small girl.
She was married in Grangeville to Bud Stewart [Steward]and the couple farmed for many years on the prairie. After his death [divorced] she married Al Nash. Mrs. Nash belonged to the First Christian Church.
Survivors besides Mr. Nash include a son, John Stewart [Steward] of Monterey; two brothers, Tom Eller of Grangeville, Henry Eller of Alix, Alberta; a sister, Mrs. Bert Tefft of Grangeville; several grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

Deaths - Mrs. Nash - Mrs. Mattie Catherine Nash, who formerly resided with a son, John Steward of Del Rey Oaks, for a time in Seaside, died yesterday in a San Jose hospital following an extended illness.
Mrs. Nash was born Aug. 7, 1878, in Gravette, Ark.
In addition to her son, she leaves her husband, Alfred S. Nash of Stockton; two brothers, Tom Eller of Grangeville, Idaho, and Henry Eller of Alex, Alberta, Canada; and a sister, Mrs. Fannie Tefft of Grangeville, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Little Chapel-by-the-Sea, with Rev. Edwin Howard of the Church of the Oaks (Congregational) of Del Ray Oaks officiating. Private burial will take place in El Carmelo Cemetery.
The Paul Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
