Another Good Man Gone - "Uncle" J. M. Eller, one of the pioneer residents of Idaho county and a man esteemed by all the residents of Camas Prairie, died Tuesday afternoon at Grangeville, from cancer of the stomach, aged 72 years. He had been afflicted with the disease for several years but it was only for the past few months that he was bedfast. The deceased resided in Cottonwood for the past several years and was formerly mail carrier on the Kamiah route. He leaves a family of grown children, his wife having died about a year ago of the same disease which caused his death. The funeral sermon was preached Wednesday at Grangeville and the remains were brought to this place yesterday afternoon for interment by the side of the deceased wife. Owing to a misunderstanding it was expected services would be held at the Methodist Church here and many who wished to attend the last rites were this disappointed.
Marriage: Joseph M. F. Eller and Susan Elizabeth McFerran were married February 7, 1867 in Chariton County, Missouri.
