MISS FANNIE LUHN DIES SUDDENLY SUNDAY EVENING

Miss Fannie Mary Luhn, lifelong resident of this section, died suddenly of a heart attack at 10:40 p.m. Sunday, May 17, at the age of 75. Death came at the Bellville hospital within 24 hours of her illness.

Miss Luhn was born in Bellville January 1, 1867, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Luhn, pioneer residents of Bellville. She was a kindly lady with the respect of all who knew her. She was a member of the Phillipsburg Lutheran church. Most of her long life was spent at Kenney.

Services were held at the Pete E. Etlinger Funeral Home at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, with the Rev. H. Schliesser officiating. Burial was in the family plot at Oak Knoll with six nephews, Guy McNutt, Ernest McNutt, Ervin Burgess and Raymond Luhn and Robert Blum serving as pallbearers. Attendance was large, with friends and relatives from Kenney and Bellville joining other friends to pay their last respects to the lady who had lived here for three quarters of a century.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Jim McNutt of Bellville and four brothers, Hugo, Felix, Paul and Theodore Luhn of Kenney. Two brothers, William Luhn of Brenham and Robert Luhn of Kenney preceded her to the grave. In addition, she is survived by a great number of other relatives and a host of friends, particularly in Bellville and Kenney.
