Frances Elizabeth Wright, 86, of Troy, Mo., formerly of Little America, passed away at 5:05 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2007, at the Troy Manor, Troy, Mo.

Born June 28, 1920, in Chandler, Texas, to Nathan and Thelma (Nowlin) Parmer, she married Raymond Wright on Sept. 23, 1944, in Vallejo, Calif. He died Feb. 2, 2000.

Also preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Johnnie Parmer.

Surviving are one son, Gary (Carol) Wright, of Augusta, Ill.; two daughters, Betty (Robert) Ashwood of Smithfield and Kathy (Jim) Booth of Troy, Mo.; seven grandsons; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Truman Parmer of Chandler, Texas; one sister, Ruth Browning of Olive Branch, Miss.; and many nieces and nephews.

She and her late husband farmed in the Banner Township area for many years. She was also a homemaker.

She belonged to the First Christian Church of Canton, where she was very involved in the Ladies' Circle.

Frances was also very accomplished in ceramics and china painting.

Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, rural Canton.
