Loyd Benjamin Davis of Springdale died Sept. 22 1990 at Springdale Memorial Hospital. He was born at Drakes Creek the son of the Rev. Benner Elbert and Hannah Margaret Drake Davis. He was a member of the Faith Freewill Baptist church where he was a charter member, a deacon, Sunday school teacher and superintendent. He retired from Welch Foods with 28 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy A. Seals Davis of the home, to whom he married Nov. 17 1956, one son Scott David of Springdale one daughter Robin Ann Wages of Springdale; four sisters, Mary Smith, Bertha Powell, both of Springdale, Mirtha Counts of Lowell and Geneva Faulkner of Huntsville; and one granddaughter, Haley Wages of Springdale .
Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept 25, at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Jack Morris, Rev. Curtis Counts and Rev. Loy Counts officiating. Burial was in Drake's Creek Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Faith Freewill Baptist Church.
