Susanna married James IMAN on September 15, 1836, in Carroll County, Indiana. (His gravestone has the spelling as EYMAN; marriage records have IMAN.) Two children were born to the marriage: Elizabeth (1837-1923), who 1st married Christian SALTZMAN and 2nd married John SALTZMAN), and Sarah Ann (1841-1884), who married Christian ROOT.

According to findagrave contributor 49024085, Susanna's name is listed as INMAN on one list of burials at the cemetery. Also buried at the same cemetery are her grandchildren Eliza ROOT (1864-1865) and Ira Allen ROOT (1873-1894), children of her daughter Sarah.

Page 67 of the 1909 HUFFORD FAMILY HISTORY has conflicting information about her date of death. The book reports her death as February 1864 -- aged 47 years, 4 months, and 9 days. However, a photo of her gravestone shows this: "DIED Jan. 26, 1865. Aged 47 Y's 2 M's & 25 D's."
