Funeral services for Lillie Beatrice Gorham were held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2000 in the Union Baptist Church in Joyce, LA. Officiating were Revs. Rayford Higgs and Billy Smithart. Burial followed in the Union Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gorham, 63 of Joyce, LA died Wednesday, May 10, 2000 in the Winn Parish Medical Center. She was a homemaker and was a custodian for the Winn Parish School Board.
Survivors are two sons, James Ray Gorham, Jr. and James Lee Gorham, both of Joyce, LA; two daughters, Katherine Marie Williams of Joyce and Mary Jane Lowery of Dodson, LA; mother, Jewel B. Vines of Winnfield; brother, Henry Vines of Winnfield; two sisters, Florence Sullivan of Winnfield and Linda Harris of League City, TX; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Pallbearers were: Wallace Ingles, Jody Gorham, Jeff Carpenter, Jack Bartley, Bubba Schuler, Carl Waldron, Newt Hyde and Jack Parker.
