Memoriam - Bro. Edmund Kennedy was born in Tattnall County, Ga. in 1824. He was the son of Stephen and _____ Kennedy, who had eleven children. Capt. S.H. Kennedy and Mrs. Mike Collins still survive him. His mother was a Miss Holland. His ancestors lived to be very old. His grandfather Kennedy lived to be 109 years old and his grandfather Holland 103. He married in 1840 Miss Elizabeth Bird, daughter of Mr. Wylly Bird of Bulloch County. To this union were born eight children, three having died. Messrs. Dan, Elisha and James H. Kennedy and Mesdames R. Simmons and Joe Tillman are still living. After his first wife died, he married Mrs. Sarah Alderman, who died six years later of typhoid. He next married Mrs. Dicy Brannen. He moved from Tattnall to Bulloch in 1867. He died April 17, 1907 and was buried at Lott's Creek Church.
