They settled on a farm near his father in the Holland Community, living there until after 1860. Nicey died there prior to 1863, no record of her death or burial. He then moved from Tattnall County to the Excelsior Coummunity of Bulloch County. He was a prominent farmer of his day, his cattle barn was the largest in the area, it was standing in 1929. Kennedy's Bridge, a short distance away on Canoochee River, was named after him.
After Nicey died, he remarried to Elizabeth COLLINS, d/o Seaborn COLLINS and Nancy J. COURSEY. Please see her listing this cemetery for all of their children. Nicey and Elizabeth were cousins.
