JOHN G. FETT PASSES AWAY
John G.e Fett of West Point, Iowa former county supervisor, died at the Sacred Heart hospital at 6:30 a.m. today following an illness of a few weeks. Mr. Fett lived in Fort Madison, Iowa while he served as a supervisor from 1921 through 1923 and later moved back to West Point. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Fett was born near West Point, Iowa July 26, 1867 and had been a life time resident of Lee Co. He married Carrie Brownfield in December of 1893. She preceded him in death Dec. 4, 1936. He was a member of the Presbyterian church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. O.M. (Mabel) Hooper of Warren, Arizona and Mrs. Herbert Harnagel (line of microfilm can't read entire line) grandchilcren, Mrs. Norma Burgdorf of Charleston, Iowa. Mrs. Eileen Hedrick of Franklin and William Hopper of Warren, Arizona and one brother D.C. (David Casper) Fett of Donnellson, Iowa. Two daughters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at Clements chapel at 2:30 p.m. Wedneday with the Rev. Walter L. Turney officiating.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
