OBITUARY-Henry Fett
Henry Fett, son of Casper and Margaret Fett, was born east of Franklin, Iowa, on Jan 5 1855. He was baptized and confirmed at the Presbyterian church near Franklin. In early youth he joined the St. Paul Evangelical church at Donnellson.
He was united in marriage on Oct 19, 1878, with Margaret Ann Graulich. This union was blessed with three children.
Mr. Fett was a faithful Christian, a devoted father, good neighbor and w as a great lover of nature. He was always considerate of the welfare of o thers, and served on the church board for a number of years. He had ma ny friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife about 7 years ago. He had suffered for some time with a lingering illness and during the past few months his illness had become more and more critical, causing his death on Monday morning, Sept 29, at 2:30 o'clock at the age of 75 years, 8 months and 4 days.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Albert Lang, two sons, John H. and Casper; and three grandchildren, all of Donnellson and by three brothers, Jacob, of Donnellson, David, of Mr. Pleasant, and John of Fort Madison.
Funeral services were held Wed at the home at 1:30 o'clock and from the Ev angelical church at 2:00 o'clock conducted by the Pastor, W.F. Kamphenkel, Burial was in the Ebangelical cemetery, north of town, Pallbearers were: V.M. Schmitt, Wm. Fett, J. Maxwell, David Abel Jr. Allison Billman and Leonard Fett.
