Son of Casper and Margaretha (Abel) Fett. He married Elizabeth Wiegner, Jan. 26, 1871.

Obituary: Mr. Peter Fett one of Donnellson best known and revered citizens, passed away quite suddenly Thursday morning. His death came as a great shock not only to his family and intimate friends, but the whole community in gerneral. Mr. Peter Fett was born April 16th 1848 near Franklin, Iowa as the son of Kasper Fett and his wife Margaret Abel. Having redeived a careful Christian training, he confirmed in the Evangelic St. Peters Church, West Point, Iowa, by the Rev Bruchert. On the 26th of January 1871 he married Miss Elizabeth Wiegner by the Rev. Braschler, Franklin, Iowa. Forty five years of happy married life were allotted to Mr. and Mrs. Peter Fett. The union was blessed with 8 children, 2 sons and 5 daughters, one child, Adam died in infancy. Monday night, Sept 25th 1916, Fett was taken severely sick, and neither there most careful medical attention, the loving service of his faithful wife and children could bring him the relief he was looking and praying for and on Wednesday night between 12 and 1, while his loved one's had assembled about his bed, his soul was brought into God's everlasting kingdom. His death was a peaceful one. He attained the age of 68 years, 5 months and 11 days. Mr. Fett was a kind husband and father a good neighbor and citizen, a man of pure mind and sound judgement, faithful in matters of trust. But above all, he was a Christian man always a faithful member of our Evangelic St. Paul Church, and untiring worker in his congregation and ardent lover of the word and the house of God. The following are lift to mourn his death; his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Fett, son Mr. William Fett of Donnellson, five daughters, Mrs. John Frank, Mrs Val (Katie) Schmidt, Mrs. E. Mehl, Mrs. W. J. (Elizabeth) Schmidt, Mrs. Irwin Henzel of Koekuk, 5 sons in-laws, 1 daughter-in-law, 16 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Mrs. John Billman of North Dakota, 4 brothers, Jacob David Fett, Henry Fett of Donnellson and John Fett of West Point, and a large circle of friends and acquaintances.
Funeral Services were conducted from the home on Sept. 30, 1916 at 1 p.m.. After a brief service at home, the remains were conveyed to the St. Paul church. His mortal remains were committed to another, the G.G. cemetery.
