Funeral Services for Mrs. Sophie Plourd Held Thursday Morning.
MILLINOCKET, Aug. 7.--The funeral services of Mrs. Sophie Plourd were held at St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic church on Thursday morning, Rev. Father John Hogan officiating. The requiem mass was sung by Miss Gertrude Levasseur and Russell Spruce, who also sang Peace Be Still, as a duet. The pall bearers were Messrs. Thibodeau, Henry Carro, V. Carro, and Alex Lemieux. Mrs. Plourd was born in St. Agatha and was fifty-five years of age, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Legassey. She had been resided in Millinocket for three years, and had been ill a considerable portion of that time. She leaves a large circle to mourn her loss. They are her husband, Peter Plourd, and twelve children all of whom were present at the funeral, Adolph of Stockholm, Mrs. Mabel Albert of St. Agatha, Paul of Stockholm, Mrs. Bouchard of Lincoln, Henry of this town, Yvonne of Lewiston, Mrs. Paul Bernard of Stockholm, John of Connecticut, and Nelson, Lillian, Cecil and Victor of Millinocket. She leaves also three sisters, Mrs. Ben Boutaugh of this town, Mrs. Edward Boynton of Madison, Mrs. Elsie Legassey, and six brothers, Paul and George of Madison, Elwood of St. Agatha, John of Skowhegan, and Mark and Fred of Millinocket.
