Flora "Pinkie" Elizabeth Mills, 59, wife of Samuel Mills, 1623 North Jefferson St., died at 9:00 a.m. Saturdey morning at the Blackford county hospital where she had been admitted Monday for treatment. She had been in failing health since undergoing two major operations 10 years ago.
Flora was born in Kentucky, Feburary 21, 1887, daughter of John Daniel and Elizabeth Catherine (Bain) Margason. She married Samuel Mills in Hartford City, May 21, 1921. Three children were born to this union but all are now deceased. Three children surviving by a former marriage are Helen, of Camden, Ind., John Kingery, of Niles, Mich., and Harold Kingery, of Chicago, Ill.. Other survivors are her father; three brothers, James Margason, Charles Margason and Harry Margason; four sisters, Mattie VanScoyk, South Bend, Ind., Malissa Sandstrom, Rockford, Ill., Mrs. May Hoyt, Davis Junction, Ill., and Mrs Lucy Welch, Rockford, Ill..
The body was removed to the Baxter and Martin funeral home for burial preperation. Funeral plans will be deferred until word is recieved from the relatives residing at a distance. Burial in Hartford City Cemetery, Hartford City, Indiana.
