Samuel Roscoe Mills, 76, died Tuesday afternoon, June 22, 1965, at the Blackford County Hospital in Hartford City, Indiana. His death was due to complications. Born July 4, 1889, in Hartford City, son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Mills. Married Flora Elizabeth Margason Kingery, May 21, 1921, in Hartford City.
Samuel, a life resident of this county, had been in failing health for the past year and had been hospitalized for the past week. Mr. Mills was the last surviving member of the family. A veteran of World War II. Mr. Mills was a member of the Almerican Legion Post and prior to his retirement had been employed by Gamester's Meat Market for 20 years. Samuel and Elizabeth had three children together that are now all have passed away.
Survivors are his three stepchildren, Helen, of Camden, Ind., John Kingery, of Niles, Mich. and Harold Kingery, Chicaago, Ill. Rev. Robert Crilley will officate at the last rights. Burial in Hartford City Cemetery.
