Roy B. Griffin, age 79, of Estesburg, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 24, 1994 at his residence.
Born July 2, 1915, in Estesburg, he was a son of the late Virgil and Samantha York Griffin.
Survivors include his wife, Lethia Taylor, whom he married May 7, 1934; one daughter, Virginia Burchfield of the Estesburg community; one brother, Jesse Griffin of Eubank; two sisters, Mattie Flynn of Somerset and Maggie Reynolds of Covington; and one granddaughter, Lisa Burchfield, of Montgomery, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ansel, Mitchell, and James F. Griffin; three sisters, Bertha Suttle, Lela Floyd and Nora Eubanks.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Estesburg Church of Christ.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Morris and Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Zenas Eubank officiating. Burial followed in Griffin Cemetery.
