Bertha Suttle, 93, Estesburg community, died Tuesday, Sept. 15 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home, following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Estesburg on Sept. 8, 1894, a daughter of the late Virgil and Samantha York Griffin. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Estesburg Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Denver Suttle, Bronston; four daughters, Clarice Turpin, Dayton, Ohio, Ruth Epperson, Estesburg, Marjorie Carpenter, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Carol Norton, Shopville; three brothers, Jesse Griffin, Eubank, Mitchell Griffin, Pulaski community, and Roy Griffin, Estesburg; two sisters, Mattie Flynn, Somerset, and Maggie Reynolds, Covington; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Henry Suttle, whom she married Dec. 22, 1915, and who died Oct. 26, 1961; a son, Harold Woodrow Suttle; two brothers, Jim and Ansel Griffin; and two sisters, Lela Floyd and Nora Eubank.

Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Estesburg Church of Christ with Bro. Zenas Eubank officiating.

Burial will be in Griffin Cemetery, Estesburg.
