Mrs. Raymond W. Muncaster, 56, of 7810 So. Yakima Ave., died at a local hospital Sunday. Mrs. Muncaster, who was born in Tacoma, was a member of the Byrd clan, early settlers in this area.
She was the president of the Third District VFW Auxillary, and a member of the William C. Thompson VFW Auxillary of Steilacoom, McMillin Grange and Cootiette Club.
Survivors include the husband, a daughter, Mrs. Jack Hartloff of the home, two grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. C. A. Humphrey of Tacoma and Mrs. E. A. Barta of Gig Harbor; two brothers, Lewis A. Byrd of Tacoma and John T. Byrd of Wrangell, Alaska.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Piper Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Ray Kaemer officiating. Burial will be in New Tacoma Cemetery.
