Owner and operator of Swartz Electric, Robert L. Swartz, 67, of Wells County, died at 11:10 P.M. Sunday at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne after an extended illness.

Born Nov. 19, 1928 in Wells County, he was the son of Irvin and Bessie M. Lash Swartz. He married Rosie Lautzenheiser, who survives, on Aug. 15, 1948, in Bluffton.

He owned Swartz Electric for 25 years and worked at Wabash Electric after retirement. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Parlor City Country Club.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Terry R. Swartz, of Coral Spring, FL.; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Sue Helen) Cubbage of Smithville, TN and Mrs. Jo Ellen Williams of Bluffton; three brothers, Donald Swartz of Monroe, MI., Ervin Swartz, Jr. and Virgil Swartz, both of Bluffton; a sister, Mrs. Charles (Marie)Iser of Huntington; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Calling will be from 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday and all day Thursday at Goodwin Memorial Chapel.

Additional calling will be one hour prior to the 10:30 A.M. service on Friday at the First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Robert Heimach will officiate.

Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.

Memorials to the Multiple Sclerosis, the First Presbyterian Church or the Wells County Heart Association.
