MASSENA -- Clarence L. Ashley, 65, West Hatfield Road, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday (August 30, 1975) in the Massena Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. The League of the Sacred Heart will hold a service at 8:15 p.m. Monday at the Reagan Funeral Chapel.

Calling hours at the funeral chapel are today and Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Surviving are his widow, Josephine; three daughters, Mrs. John K. Romeo, Binghamton, Mrs. Daniel (Phyllis) Love, Massena, and Sharon Ashley, at home; one son, Paul Robert Ashley, also at home; three brothers, James Ashley, Massena, Bernard Ashley, Vestal and Leo Grand Ashley, Waddington; five sisters, Mrs. Thomas (Nelly) Foster, Massena, Mrs. Francis (Sadie) Simser, Massena, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Premo, Massena, Mrs. Francis (Lena) Kearns, Massena, and Mrs. Mabel Prescott, Syracuse; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Ashley was born July 4, 1910 in Norfolk, the son of Charles and Catherine Sharlow Ashley. He married Josephine LaBarge July 9, 1938.

Mr. Ashley was an employee of the Aluminum Co. of America and a member of the 25-year club. He was a member of the League of Sacred Heart and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
