Rachel (a.k.a. "Rachael") was the daughter of Stephen & Maryem (Martin) Hill (both also buried at Hill Cemetery). Rachel was brought to Delaware County, OH, from Pennsylvania as a teenager by her parents. In 1821 Rachel was married to Joel Marsh (also buried at Hill Cemetery) in Concord Township, Delaware County, OH. According to the 1880 "History of Delaware County, Ohio," Rachel's marriage to Joel was the first marriage ceremony ever conducted in Concord Township. Rachel & Joel spent the remainder of their lives in Concord Township and reportedly parented nine children: Benjamin Marsh (also buried at Hill Cemetery), Stephen Marsh (also buried at Hill Cemetery), Sarah Marsh (also buried at Hill Cemetery), Joshua Marsh (also buried at Hill Cemetery), Wilthin(?) Marsh, William M. Marsh (also buried at Hill Cemetery), Miriam "Mary" Marsh, Josiah H. "Si" Marsh, & Joel Perry Marsh. Rachel has two markers at Hill Cemetery, one in conjuction with Joel Marsh and one standing alone.
