When Dr. Paul McGill lived in California he was the physician to some of the movie stars. Evidently he was a surgeon, but later some health issues forced him to be unable to work in surgery. It was reported he then worked at a Veteran's Hospital.
Reportedly Dr. Paul McGill died in Minnesota. I believe at the time he was living with Lydia in Oregon where they operated a resort.

I contacted the State of Minnesota for Paul McGill's death certificate & was told they did not have a death certificate for him. I don't know if there was an error in Lydia McGill's obit saying that Paul died in Minnesota (He is not buried in Lakewood Cemetery (Minneapolis, MN) with his first wife.)

Discovered Dr. McGill died in Milwaukee, Wisconsin & is probably buried in the family plot in St, Joseph, Missouri.
"Paul McGill died Monday in a hospital in Milwaukee, Wis. Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph. Burial also took place at St. Joseph. He is survived by his wife and mother, Mrs. Lucile McGill. Mrs. Hattie Mead, Mr. and Mrs. Garnet Newton went to St. Joseph for the memorial and Mrs. Mead remained a few days to be with Mrs. McGill in the home of her son, Dr. Victor Mead, and Mrs. Mead."
