Husband: Dr. Paul McGill
(Cecelia was supposedly divorced from Paul McGill ...Paul McGill was said to have been married to Lydia Sheldon. However Cecilia's death certificate does list Paul as her husband.)
Buried in Sect. 15 Lot 16 B Grave 1 Monument Lot.
Her Aunt Dr.Rose Vallely Will & Uncle Gustav Will are in the same section & Lot...occupying Grave 3 & 4. (When I contacted the Lakeland Cemetery office I was told that a 4th unused plot was being held for Rose Cecelia Nixon...Rose reportedly was raised by Dr. Cecelia McGill. Family rumors have been that an unwed mother gave the child to Dr. McGill...it is not known if she was actually adopted. More information on Rose would be greatly appreciated.)
Note from Shirley Hemingway:
Although Cecelia's death certificate lists her date of birth as 3/28/1902, her name is found in the 1900 Census where she is listed as 4 years old & having a birth year of 1895! She is living with her mother Anna King (age 30) & siblings Margaret (6) & Llewelyn (3)The father is not listed in the Household. The 1910 census shows Cecelia living with Myron & Margaret Graves....she is listed as their niece, age 14. (Still using the 1895 birth year.)
Other than the 1900 & 1910 Census records, Cecelia seems to record her birth year as 1902 after the 1910 census.

I first heard of Cecelia when I was researching Lydia Sheldon in my husband's family tree. Lydia's 3rd husband was Dr. Paul McGill. A most interesting story developed as I researched Paul & Cecelia. I learned that Dr. Cecelia & Dr. Paul were both attending medical school when they secretly got married...evidently months later their marriage was announced. Later Cecelia served time in prison for drug related charges in connection with supplying illegal drugs/prescriptions for her patients. Dr. Paul McGill (for awhile) was a doctor in Hollywood to movie stars. Paul & Cecelia had no children together, but apparently Cecelia adopted a child. If anyone has more information on Paul or Ceclia McGill, please contact me.
