Funeral services for Mrs. J. T. Bentley, 2109 Strongs Ave., will be held on Thursday at 11:15 a.m. at St. Stephen's Catholic Church. The Rev. Thomas E. Mullen will be the celebrant of the requiem mass. Burial will be made in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Bentley died late Tuesday morning at St. Michael's Hospital. She had been admitted there after suffering a heart attack a short time previously. The body is at the Crosby Funeral Home, where friends may call after 4 o'clock this afternoon. A general rosary will be prayed there this evening at 8 o'clock, with members of Court Jerem No. 1031, Catholic Daughters of America, participating. Mrs. Bentley was a member of the court. Mrs. Bentley was the former Alice L. Bowden. She was born in the Town of Buena Vista, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Bowden. On August 23, 1912, she was married at St. Stephen's Church to Jesse T. Bentley, and they lived briefly at Mosinee before they settled in Stevens Point in 1914. Mr. Bentley, a Soo Line Railroad car repairman, died on Nov. 21, 1949. Mrs. Bentley is survived by one son, Kenneth J. Bentley, Montello; two daughters, Mrs. George P. (Mary) Breitenstein, 1601 Clark St., and Mrs. Sherman J. (Helen) Sword, 1501 Church St.; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. George (Zita) Turrish, 1816 Center St. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husand and two sisters.
