Joe Marlette, 81, of Carrollton, died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Norton Audubon Hospital, Louisville, Ky. He was born November 26, 1927 to the late Planet and Mildred Robbins Marlette. He was one of fourteen children.
Mr. Marlette worked at Carroll County Memorial Hospital for 36 years. He started out as a male orderly in the nursing program, working his way up to the Lab and earning a degree in Radiology and becoming an Xray Technician.
He was a veteran of World War II where he started out as a supply clerk and reached the rank of CPL.
Joe married Betty J. Breeden on December 18, 1948. They had three children: Deborah (Marlette) Clifton, David Kevin Marlette, and Melissa (Marlette) Hazelwood.
Services were held on February 14, 2009, at Graham Dunn Funeral Home with Burial in the IOOF Cemetery.
