He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Frankfort. He formerly worked for The News Democrat in Carrollton and Glenwood Hall Resort at Perry Park.
He is survived by his wife, Martha A. Shirley Marlette of Frankfort; one son, David Marlette (Susan) of Bethlehem; one daughter, Carroll Marlette of Frankfort; one brother, Robert Marlette of Carrollton; two sisters, Wanda Reynolds of Tell City, Ind.; Betty Sue Mouzakitis of Medina, Ohio; 10 grandkids; and 17 great-grandkids.
Cremation was handled by Woodlawn Funeral Home. There will be a celebration of life held Saturday, May 27, 2017, at the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Frankfort from 11:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. and a graveside service at 6 p.m. at the English Cemetery in English, Ky.
