Aileen Marie Cain, 76, formerly of Carrollton, died Thursday in Louisville.

Her husband, Edward, survives.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday, Ransdell Funeral Home. Visitation: after noon Saturday.

Aileen was born in Carrollton, Ky., one of fourteen children. She was the daughter of Planet and Mildred Jayne Robbins Marlett. She graduated from Carrollton High School. After High School she later met and married Edward F. Cain. After the birth of her last son she became diabetic and developed a blood clot and due to that clot she lost one of her legs. Even with this disability she continued to raise her family, two of her children still being babies. She also worked for a handicap-oriented company selling lightbulbs via telephone.
She is survived by her husband,Edward: four daughters: Linda, Patsy, Sarah, Penney, and three sons; Mike, Darryl, and Rodney, thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four brothers Joe, Richard, Donald and Robert Marlette and four sisters; Mary Helen Wilson, Jean Cain, Wanda Coghill, and BettySue Mouzakitis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Edward R. and Jane Carolyn, four brothers; Stanley, William, James and Roy Douglas and one sister Virginia Louise.
