James, 79, 440 Touvelle St., Celina, died at 7:15 a.m., at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Hospital.

He was a son of Cecil and Ruby (McKinley) Mallory. On Apr 3, 1953, he married Thelma Jones, who survives in Celina.

Also surviving are two sons, Kevin (Marla), Celina, and Kelly (Sally), Decatur, IN; a daughter, Colleen (Mike) Goodspeed; brother, Dennis (Robyn), New Knoxville; four sisters, Corky Youngs and Gene Spicer, both Celina, Diane Creeden, Celina, Suzie (Bob) Eilerman, Montezuma; sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Deceased are three infant children, James, Walter and Colleen Sue; a great-grandson, Robert Mott, Jr.; a sister, Naomi Spicer; and a brother-in-law, Bill Youngs.

He graduated from Celina High School in 1947. He served in the U.S. Navy and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Air Force Baseball Team. He was a member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Celina. He was a Life member and Past Commander of the American Legion Post #422, Rialto, CA. He was also a Life member of the V.F.W Post#5713, Celina. He was a member of the Celina Moose Lodge. He was the Water Department Supervisor for the City of Riverside CA. He was employed by South West Architectural Castings, Phoenix AZ and was also a Mercer County Sheriff's Deputy.

Funeral services will be held at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, with Pastor Kim Miller officiating.
