He was born to Elmer H. and Mary (White) Youngs. On May 1, 1946, he married Corinne Mallory, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Bill (Carol) and Tom (Margaret), all Toledo, and Jim (Kathy), Yukon, OK; two daughters, Diana (Tom) Finkelmeier, Wapakoneta, and Kathy (Steve) Kuhn, Celina; two sisters, Kathryn Luecke and Mary Danaher, both St. Marys; and 14 grandchildren.
Two brothers, John and Elmer, are deceased.
He was a retired Prudential Insurance agent and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Loyal Order of Moose, all of Celina, and Northmoor Country Club, St. Marys.
Funeral Mass was at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiating.
