Jim Jennings

Jim Jennings, 78, member of one of the oldest Valley families, died, Jan. 18 at his home in Langdale, having suffered a heart attack Jan. 12 while attending church.

Services were held Sunday from the Langdale Methodist church, with the Rev. O. G. Waid, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Melvin Dollar and the rev. Otis Williams.

Born in Harris county, Mr. Jennings had lived int he Valley for many yeas, and until his retirement was a faithful employee of the Langdale Mill. His membership was in the Methodist church.

Surviving are his wife; and four sons, Addis, Jasper, Owen, and Carl Jennings, all of Langdale; a daughter, Mrs. W. B. Phillips; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; two brothers, B. M., of Langdale, and Ed Jennings of Fairfax; two sisters, Mrs. D. Reid and Mrs. Henry Crowder, both of angdale.
