Mr. G. C. Jennings
Passes at Langdale
Hospital Sunday

Mr. Grover C. Jennings, aged 83, died at 1 a.m. Sunday October 12th at the Langdale hospital. Mr. Jennings had been ill only four or five days, having undergone an operation for appendicitis Wednesday. The operation was successful, seemingly, and Mr. Jennings changed for the worse, death ensuing early Sunday.

Mr. Jennings had lived at Langdale practically all of his life, coming to this city from Harris county, Ga., with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Jennings, when only two years of age. He had many friends in Langdale and throughout the Valley who learned with sorrow of his untimely passing. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Louise, Mary Jim and Annie Will Jennings, and four sons, Marshall, William, Ralph, and Bennie, all of Langdale, Ala., and four sisters, Mrs. G. W. Clem, Mrs. D. Reid, Mrs. Will Crowder and Mrs. Henry Corwder, of Langdale, and three brothers. Messrs, B. M. and Jim Jennings, of Langdale, and Ed Jennings, of Fairfax.

Funeral services were held at the Sears Memorial Hall at 2 p.m. Monday, Rev. C. L. Herring officiating, and interment was at Langdale cemetery, Johnson & Co., funeral directors in charge.
