Wilford is the son of Heber Chase Kimball and Mary Smithies. He married Louisa Ella Free, Dec. 16, 1885, Logan, Cache Co., Utah.

"WILFORD ALPHONSO KIMBALLL ~ At the family residence 2457 South Third East, Wilford Alphonso Kimball, 65, died Thursday. He was born in Salt Lake October 6, 1863 and has been a resident of Salt Lake his entire life. Surviving are 4 sons, Harold C., Ira F., Merl D., and Wilford W.; two daughters, Mary E. and Mrs. Abbie (Vernon W.) Mackay, all of Salt Lake; nine grandchildren; one brother, Lorenzo H., and a number of half brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Burton ward chapel with Bishop George Soderborg officiating. Interment will be in City cemetery under direction of Deseret Mortuary.

Preceded in death by parents and son, Marvin Wilford who died 22 Sep. 1904.
Cause of Death: Cancer of Liver and Pancreas
