Rosemarie Bohach Moder, 4199 Morefield Road, Hermitage, passed away peacefully at 11 a.m. Friday (9-5-03) in her home following an extended illness. She was 71.

Mrs. Moder was born May 10, 1932, in Sharon, a daughter of John Bohach Jr. and Helen Podlucky Bohach. She graduated from Farrell High School in 1950; Mercer County Practical Nurses School
in 1970; and earned a degree as a registered nurse in 1980 from Sharon General Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Moder was a registered nurse who was employed for 18 years by what is now Sharon Regional Health System. After her retirement in 1988, she was employed as a private duty nurse and also worked in the offices of Mitchell S. Felder M.D., in Sharon until 2000.

She was a member since 1961 of Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage, and belonged to its Ave Maria Society and cancer support group. Mrs. Moder was a member of the Pennsylvania Nurses Association and was formerly active in the Hermitage Democratic Women's Club.

She is survived by her husband, William J. Moder Jr., whom she married on June 30, 1951, in St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church, Farrell. Also surviving are: her two sons, William J. Moder III and his wife Margaret, Hermitage; and Scott A. Moder, Hermitage; and five sisters, Louise Dunder and Theresa Kettering, both Hermitage; Margaret Pelles and JoAnn Leckfor, both Brookfield; and Veronica Banjak and her husband Ronald, Hubbard.
She also leaves two brothers, John R. Bohach III and his wife Jean, Wheatland; and Paul R. Bohach and his wife Beverly, Port Charlotte, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Krystin R. Moder, Katelyn M. Moder, Rebecca A. Moder and William J. Moder IV. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including three godchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; an infant grandson, Andrew T. Moder; and three sisters, Valeria David, Anna M. Sirochman and an infant, Kathryn Bohach.

During her illness, she remained devoted to her husband and family, determined in her extended treatment and unwavering in her faith.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Sharon Regional Health System's Hospice Home Care, 663 E. State St., Sharon 16146; or Church of Notre Dame, 2325 Highland Road, Hermitage 16148.
