Nelle Carter, born November 25, 1897, in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee, to James and Addie Richmond. A Pueblo, CO resident for the past 11 years and formerly of Cotopaxi, she passed away Sept. 2, 1990. Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Carter, in 1965; three sons, Thomas, Emery and James Carter and one daughter, Edith Fryman. Survivors include her two daughters, Mickey (Richard) Lohmiller, Pueblo, and Betty (George) Thompson, Colorado Springs; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, Graveside service and interment will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Cotopaxi Cemetery.
