Clara Duggan Brogden, age 81, a resident of Andalusia Manor, formerly of Ransomville, N.Y., died late Friday afternoon, Jan. 5, 2001, in the manor after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, in the Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joel Faircloth officiating. Burial will follow in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Holman Headland Mortuary and Keahey Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Monday at Keahey Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass hospice, P.O. Box 1, Andalusia, 36420 or to the Alzhemier's resource Center, P.O. Box 1170, Dothan, 36302.
Mrs. Brogden was born and reared in Red Level, daughter of the late William Robert Duggan and Rossie Edelia Brown Duggan. She lived in Ransomville, N.Y. from 1946 until 1998 when she returned to Andalusia. Mrs. Brogden was a deacon in the Ransomville Baptist Church where she formerly served on the pulpit committee. She was retired as a secretary from Ransomville Bus Lines.
