Fannie Saulsbury was the youngest child of Thomas Cooney and Bridget O'Brien. Her parents were born in County Westmeath, Ireland. Fannie was born just south of Overton Nebraska. She married Charles Saulsbury in 14 February 1899 in Lexington, Dawson County, Nebraska. They were the parents of seven children; William, Marie, Eleanor, Frances "Fan", Edward, Mildred and Margaret.

Mrs. Frances Ann Saulsbury, 58, wife of Charles Saulsbury, died Monday afternoon, December 19, 1938, at three o'clock, at her home southwest of Overton, where she had lived her entire life. She had been ill for the past five weeks.
Survivors include her husband, five daughters. Mrs. Bob Barnes, Omaha; Mrs. Frances Perkins, Lexington; Mrs. F.T. O'Brien, Montesano, Washington; Miss Marie Saulsbury of the home; and Mrs. James Delahunty, of Lexington, two sons, Edwin Saulsbury, of Overton, and Will Saulsbury of Lexington; four brothers, Thomas Cooney of Joplin, Missouri, Frank Cooney of Cheyenne, Wyoming; John Cooney, Kearney and Ed Cooney, Omaha; and seven grandchildren.
