Kennith Lowell Allcock/Allcox/Alcott was one of twelve children of William Asbury Allcock/Allcox/Alcott & Anna Mahitable (Ray) Alcott. He was born near Lorimor, IA, but in Madison Co., IA. He died on June 25, 1960 in an auto accident in Ames, Story Co., IA. They buried him in a potter's plot in the Knoll Cemetery (also known as the Poor Farm Cemetery and Oak Grove Cemetery).
Kennith married first in Ames Story Co., IA on July 8, 1939 to Susy Masteller born 1919, Alexanderia, MN, age 20 at the time of marriage. She was the daughter of Fred Masteller & Carrie (DeBord) Masteller. Kennith was age 28 at the time of marriage and witnesses were Alice Deaton & Lawrence Deaton. At the time of his marriage his occupation was that of a truck driver. Kennith & Susy Alcott had two children: Donna Mae Alcott born June 25, 1940 Osakis, MN,(deceased) & Mavis Anna Alcott born abt. 1944, Osakis, MN, (deceased).
Susy (Masteller) Alcott & Kennith Lowell Alcott divorced sometime after 1944. Kennith remarried June 29, 1951 at Nevada, Story Co., IA to Doris Elisabeth "Lizzie" (Calhoun)O'Keefe, widow, age 33 born Mt. Pleasant, IA, the daughter of Raymond T. & Mary L. (Dunke) Calhoun. Witnesses were Roy & Fern Scott. Occupation at the time of marriage was construction and residence was Ames, IA. "Lizzie" and Kennith had no children. Susy (Masteller) Alcott married a second time also, but was shot and killed by her second husband.
At the age of five Kennith was kicked in the head by a horse and was unconscious for 17 days while all the time his mother, Anna Mahitable Alcott, sat and held him in her arms. He carried the impression of the horseshoe in his skull for the rest of his life. At the age of 10 or 11 he fell on his head from the hay loft. From these two traumas he suffered from terrible headaches the rest of his life and also some brain damage.
