Ray Harrison Alcox born July 20, 1888, Onawa, Monona Co., IA, the son of William Asbury Allcock/Allcox/Alcott & Anna Mahitable (Ray) and the husband of Lottie (Long) Alcott, born Aug. 30, 1894, the daughter of Abbe H. Long & Catherine (Whipple) Long. Ray Harrison Alcox came from a family of twelve children, he being the oldest son and 2nd child. Most of the other children were born in Madison Co., IA. His father removed from Madison Co., IA and settle in several counties in Minnesota before settling in Villard, Pope County, MN, where he & his wife are buried in the Lake Amelia Cemetery. Ray Harrison Alcox cut off contact with his siblings, reason unknown. Ray & Lottie had 2 children: Alice (Alcox) Mueller, & Ray Warren Alcox.
