Harold David "Peewee" Tippett, 51, of 2362 Ramsey Road, passed away at 6:20 PM Friday at St.John's Hospital in Springfield.
Born in Petersburg,IL, Mr. Tippett was the son of David and Luella Sewell Tippett. For 30 yrs., Mr. Tippett was employed at Sangamo Electric. He was a member of the Sangamon Twenty Five Year Club and an Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Surviving are his wife, Frances ( Bartolozzi); one son, Terry of Springfield; two daughters; Mrs. Diana Griffitts and Mrs. Candy Wallace, both of Springfield; three grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Luella Tippett of Phoenix, AZ; one brother, Richard of Joliet; seven sisters, Mrs. Ray (Bernice) Mayberry of Springfield, Mrs. Richard (Beulah Mae) Watts of AR, Mrs. Russell (Elsie) Hill of FL, Mrs. Mary Jane Foutch of New Berlin, Mrs. Jim (Gaye) Kline of Phonex, AZ, Miss Nora Ellen Tippett of Plano, Mrs. Jesse (Pat) Colvin of Braceville; several nieces and nephews.
Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Rev. Richard Ahlgrim officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler Cemetery.
